Although Gorilla's Crystal Clear repair tape looks like packaging tape, it's actually much closer to the strength of duct tape – only without color. **Surfaces must be clean, smooth, non-porous, and water must be rubbed/pressed out from underneath tape. Not for use on applications under pressure or on seams. Overlapping tape may cause leaks.

TOUGH, yet flexible

Crystal Clear Gorilla tape is highly durable thanks to its hard, tough outer shell, as well as its thick adhesive layer, yet maintains high flexibility. This flexibility allows Crystal Clear Gorilla tape to conform with curved and uneven surfaces- much more so than regular duct tape.

In fact, this amazing tape from Gorilla is so strong that the edges had to be serrated to allow the tape to be torn from the roll by hand. Although, if a completely straight tape edge is needed, it is recommend to cut the tape with a knife or scissors.

*To prevent fingerprints, wash your hands before using the tape and hold the tape by it's edges. Alternatively, gloves may be worn during application to prevent leaving fingerprints.

Application tips

To ensure the best adhesive bond, and the maximum durability of the tape once placed, we recommend the user:

• Make sure the area is free of dirt and dust
• Make sure the area is dry before applying the tape
• For best results, use at temperatures between: -10 degrees and 50 degrees Celsius (14 degrees - 120 degrees Fahrenheit)
• When applying, the tape should be smoothed as much as possible so as to not leave any gaps for moisture.

**Store the tape in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight between applications

Up for the task, no matter the weather

When using Crystal Clear Gorilla tape, remember that the back of the tape is the waterproof part, so it should be the side which is oriented towards the water. For example: If the tape is used to repair leaks on an umbrella, it should be placed on the outer part of the umbrella, as that is the side exposed to water.

When applying, make sure to completely smooth the tape along the surface, especially along the edges, to make sure there are no gaps for water to come into contact with the underside of the tape.

To ensure an airtight and waterproof repair, apply tape on both sides of the surface, when possible. Make sure that each piece of tape is larger than the hole or area that needs to be repaired. We recommend that you cut the tape so that there are a few extra centimeters on each side relative to the hole.

Motorization

Gorilla tape is an invaluable tool for repairs in any garage; whether it is to seal a cracked taillight or to cover a hole in leather seats. The tape will provide a waterproof seal for the tailllight, and because it is transparent, it will not block the light from shining through it. On the seats, the tape is a bit noticeable, but at the same time completely see-thru and will prevent the tear from growing.

We recommend using a credit card or other straight edge to smooth the tape to a surface, in order to ensure a tight bond.

When NOT to use Crystal Clear Gorilla Tape

• on surfaces/objects with direct or indirect contact with food
• on personal protective equipment
• porous surfaces
• in systems under pressure
• on the seams of the material

*It is also recommended not to apply pieces of tape on top of each other (slightly overlapping pieces is OK), as stacked pieces may weaken the bond of the bottom piece with the surface material.
